Rocking Horse Kindergarten Coventry ensures every child's development and safety is their main priority. All staff provide a fun and stimulating environment. We do this by implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) THROUGH 7 Areas of Learning. These are Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
All activities are planned for each child's individual needs, which are taken from regular observations. The daily routine allows children the choice of free flow between indoor and outdoor play, also adult-led and child initiated play.
The nursery itself has a very spacious garden. Each of the four playrooms has its own sheltered area for activities during free flow play. This then leads out onto our open garden area with climbing frames, obstacle course, learning huts, blocked pave area for bikes and scooters and a wild area for the children to learn and explore.
The nursery has four large play rooms and take children from 6 weeks to 5 years. They are split dependent on age and transition is carried out on age and stage of development with their key person. All toys, resources and activities are age appropriate. We provide a safe stimulating and secure environment for your child .On a daily basis the babies join in sensory play, exploring and investigating through messy play and most importantly having lots of fun. Promoting their social skills and satisfying their inquisitive minds by providing challenging activities including sand, water, creative play, building, puzzles and the home corner are just a few of the activities your child will enjoy.
All children at Rockinghorse Kindergarten children are allocated a keyworker. The key worker will build a close relationship with yourself and your child, they will ensure that your child’s individual needs are met and give you feedback on a daily basis all the important things a parent likes to know including how your child has eaten, toileting, what your child has been playing with. All staff are DBS checked and signed up to the Update Service.
The nursery has a qualified cook who provides fresh home cooked meals which are in line with the Cheysa (Coventry healthy early years settings) requirements. The nursery provides breakfast, snacks, dinner and a light tea every day, we can also cater for every dietary requirement.
The best way to really get a feel for what life is like at one of our nurseries is to visit it. We would be happy to welcome you at a convenient time so that you can meet the staff and the children, and we can answer any questions you may have.
